So my housemate is currently going insane, doing her prac as a highschool teacher. At 11pm she informed me she needed some youtube vids for show and tell. VLC failed me (you can save/convert network streams) so I pulled out the laptop and with a sudo apt-get install youtube-dl, I was halfway there.
