BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANYTHING BACKUP EVERYTHING
Ok few googles later and here is what I BELIEVE I need to do….
Download the Migration Component here. (Migrator)
If you are running 1.013 apply a patch for admin sessions from here.
Install Migrator
Take note of David Gal’s Joomla! UTF-8 guide.
Install 3rd Party Migrator plugins (if they exist)
Create Migration SQL File. Download it.
Create new DB and prepare fresh install of Joomla 1.5.
During the installation process at the point where you are able to install demo content you can also upload a migration script … Do that.
potentially useful info : ISO-8859-1 is Latin1
TIME CHECK 1:40pm migration script loaded, but we have generic template …ewwww
Migrating a template from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 … Here goes. and fail. I might revisit this, but for now Im just going to look for a new template and UPDATE/REPLACE module positions in via MySQL Administrator.
